          BISCAYNE APPAREL SIGNS LICENSING AGREEMENT 
             TO MANUFACTURE A LINE OF XOXO OUTERWEAR

CLIFTON, NJ - (September 4, 1997) Biscayne Apparel, Inc. (ASE:BHA) today
announced that it has signed a licensing agreement with XOXO to manufacture a
line of junior/ women's outerwear. The XOXO outerwear line will focus on the
upscale contemporary junior customer for distribution through major department
and better specialty stores. The new line will express a hip, modern attitude
for which the XOXO brand is well-known, and is current with the trend and
direction of today's fashion,. Initial shipments are slated for delivery in
Fall 1998.

Gregg Fiene, President and CEO of privately-owned Lola, Inc., the parent
company of XOXO, stated, " We are looking forward to a successful partnership
with Biscayne Apparel. Outerwear will be an important addition to our growing
licensed product family."

XOXO, located in City of Commerce, CA, is a leading manufacturer of junior and
contemporary sportswear. XOXO has recently initiated a program of licensing its
brand name, and has signed 14 licensing agreements over the past year
including: swimwear, childrenswear, footwear, leather and suede apparel, belts
and kid's accessories, watches, denim and sport legwear, silver jewelry,
innerwear, sunglasses, and timepieces. 

Earl Powell, Biscayne's Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer
