Subcontract From Lockheed Martin
BUFFALO, NY, March 7, 2000, -- Comptek Research, Inc. (Amex: CTK)
announced today it has received a subcontract valued at up to $2.3
million to provide systems and software engineering to Lockheed Martin
Naval Electronics & Surveillance Systems (NE&SS)-Moorestown, NJ, for
the United States Navy's AEGIS Combat System. The subcontract is for
one year with options for extension.
AEGIS is an advanced radar-based combat system for U.S. Navy AEGIS
cruisers and destroyers, capable of simultaneous response to multiple
threats. Comptek will be responsible for supplying technical expertise
in Surface Navy Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and
Intelligence Systems (C4I) and software engineering. Comptek Federal
Systems, a subsidiary of Comptek Research, Mt. Laurel, NJ, will provide
on-site support to Lockheed Martin NE&SS, while Comptek's engineering
staff at other locations on the east and west coasts will be available
to support Lockheed Martin's C4I requirements via Comptek's proprietary
collaborative software development network.
John J. Sciuto, chairman, president, and chief executive officer of

NE&SS-Moorestown is one of six major operating sites in the Lockheed
Martin NE&SS business segment. NE&SS provides surface ship and
submarine combat systems, antisubmarine warfare and ocean surveillance
systems, missile launching systems, radar and sensor systems, ship
systems integration services and other advanced systems and services to
customers worldwide. It is the largest business organization in the
Lockheed Martin Systems Integration business area.
