Comptek Awarded $5 Million Contract from Warner Robins Air Center
To Provide Electronic Warfare Simulators
BUFFALO, NY, July 17, 2000, - Comptek Research, Inc. (Amex: CTK)
today announced it has received a $5 million contract from the
Electronic Combat Product Group (ECPG) of the Warner Robins Air
Logistic Center, Robins AFB, GA, to provide electronic warfare
radar frequency threat simulators. Comptek will also design,
develop, and install a sophisticated networking facility to
support future ECPG testing requirements for the next five to
seven years.
Under the agreement, Comptek will deliver and install two of its
Combat Electromagnetic Environment Simulators at Robins AFB in
the summer and fall of 2001. In addition, future simulators will
be contracted over a period of years to replace outdated
simulators. The network will incorporate synchronization and
control of multi-spectral sensor testing, as radio frequency and
infra-red simulators will be coupled together for testing of
advanced threat warning systems, for USAF fighters and Air Force
Special Operation Center platforms.
John J. Sciuto, chairman, president, and chief executive officer
of Comptek Research, Inc., said, "We are delighted to extend our
expertise in EW simulation and technical support to Robins Air
Force Base."
Comptek's subsidiary, Comptek Amherst Systems, Inc., will be
responsible for the contract performance. Comptek Amherst
Systems has an established success record in the electronic
combat community for its design and development of technically
advanced simulator and signal measurement systems to solve real-
time application problems.
Comptek Research, Inc., with subsidiary locations in the United
States and Canada, is a domestic and international supplier of
technically advanced electronics and data communications systems
to government and industry.
