(Nasdaq: EQUUS), a publicly traded partnership with horse racing and gaming interests in the Caribbean, today announced that due to the extensive damages caused by Hurricane Georges, racing operations at El Comandante Racetrack in Puerto Rico have been suspended. A time frame for the track's reopening will be announced as soon as an assessment of the damages has been completed next week. The hurricane's path took it across the center of Puerto Rico from east to west wreaking substantial damage island wide. The racetrack and its contents are covered by adequate insurance including business interruption insurance.
