CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO NAMES
ROBERT DOVE VICE PRESIDENT & GENERAL MANAGER OF
KKCW-FM PORTLAND, OREGON

CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO, Covington, KY, January 12, 2000: Clear Channel Radio Senior Vice President Dave Crowl today promoted Portland radio veteran Robert Dove to Vice President & General Manager of KKCW-FM, the #1 billing radio station in the Portland broadcast area. Dove, who has been Director of Sales for all four Clear Channel stations in the Portland market, will keep the DOS title as he picks up the VP/GM letters.

In making the announcement Crowl said, "Robert has successfully accomplished every challenge we have ever put in front of him. He has been preparing himself for this role and he has learned from the best in Clint Sly and Ron Saito. We are excited about his future contributions as we continue to grow in Portland."

Crowl hired Dove as an account manager for KKRZ back in 1984 and he’s never moved away from the Portland area. Over the last 15 years Dove has sold radio for each of the Clear Channel stations in the cluster, including KKRZ-FM, KEX-AM and KEWS-AM in addition to KKCW. Thirteen of those years were spent at his first station, "Z-100" (KKRZ), where Dove watched the station go from "Worst to First." Dove commented, "Many people in this industry are forced to move around as they advance their careers. Somehow I’ve managed to keep under the radar screen and stay here in Portland. I know this radio market as well as anybody could and can’t wait to take on the Vice President & General Manager role at KKCW."

Dove’s promotion is effective immediately.
