SIGNS ACQUISITION AGREEMENTS Premiere Enters into Binding Agreement to Acquire Hot Mix Radio Network and Completes Acquisition of Invasion Music Library COVINGTON, Kentucky-February 3, 1998-Premiere Radio Networks, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Jacor Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: JCOR) announced today that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the assets of Hot Mix Radio Network, Inc. In a separate transaction, Premiere completed its acquisition of the "Invasion" production music library. Formed approximately 13 years ago, Hot Mix produces seven nationally syndicated "dance mix" radio programs in four major radio formats. Hot Mix's prerecorded, weekly programs are carried by more than 150 radio station affiliates, including affiliates in such top radio markets as Los Angeles, Chicago and San Francisco. Hot Mix's programs have been nominated six times for Billboard Magazine's "Top 40 Network/Syndication Program of the Year Award." Andrew Starr, sole shareholder of Hot Mix, will continue with Jacor as a vice president of its Premiere subsidiary. Developed by Brandon D'Amore Productions, "Invasion" is a full service production music library currently utilized by almost 100 radio stations in the U.S. and is distributed internationally for use on radio and television.
