FINALIZES ACQUISITION OF HOT MIX RADIO NETWORK, INC. COVINGTON, Kentucky-February 17, 1998-Premiere Radio Networks, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Jacor Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: JCOR) announced today that it has completed its transaction to acquire the assets of Hot Mix Radio Network, Inc. Formed approximately 10 years ago, Hot Mix produces seven nationally syndicated "dance mix" radio programs in four major radio formats. Hot Mix's prerecorded, weekly programs are carried by more than 150 radio station affiliates, including affiliates in such top radio markets as Los Angeles, Chicago and San Francisco. Andrew Starr, sole shareholder of Hot Mix, will continue with Jacor as a vice president of its Premiere subsidiary. Hot Mix's programs have been nominated six times for Billboard Magazine's "Top 40 Network/Syndication Program of the Year Award." Jacor's subsidiary, Premiere, currently syndicates more than 50 radio programs and services to more than 4000 radio station affiliates. Jacor is the nation's second largest radio station group measured in terms of total stations.
