COVINGTON, KY., May 5, 1998: Jacor Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: JCOR) agreed to purchase KZWC-FM in Walnut Creek, California from KZWC Broadcasting, Inc., a subsidiary of Z-Spanish Radio Network for $4.5 million. Media Venture Partners, LTD acted as broker in the transaction. KZWC will add to Jacor's existing coverage of the Bay area. Jacor's KSJO-FM of San Jose currently services a portion of the South Bay market. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory review. Jacor is the nation's second largest radio company measured by total stations. Including announced pending acquisitions, Jacor now owns, operates or represents 201 radio stations in 55 broadcast areas and WKRC-TV in Cincinnati.
