JACOR APPOINTS RICK PORTER
DAYTON, OHIO VICE PRESIDENT
AND MARKET MANAGER
COVINGTON, KY June 1, 1998: Jacor Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: JCOR) today promoted Rick Porter, formerly Vice President and General Manager of the company's Salt Lake City broadcast area, to Vice President and Market Manager for Dayton, Ohio. The move to Dayton will be a homecoming of sorts for Porter who started his radio career in Cincinnati over 20 years ago. According to Dave Crowl, President of Jacor's Radio Division, "Rick's proven track record and his knowledge of the radio business in the Dayton region makes him the perfect choice as Dayton Market Manager. Jacor is very excited about our future plans to entertain, inform and serve the Dayton broadcast area. Rick will make significant contributions toward these plans and will support what we already know: "It's Great in Dayton."
Says Porter, "The Dayton stations are filled with great talent and quality programming. Having spent most of my career in Cincinnati at 700 WLW, it feels like coming home for me and my family. I can't wait to get started."
