FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CLEAR CHANNEL WEB SERVICES GROUP NAMES JOHN POTTER, VICE PRESIDENT, LOCAL SALES & MARKETING

Clear Channel Web Services Group, Covington, KY July 12, 2000: Clear Channel Web Services Group President John Martin today announced radio veteran John Potter will join the Web Services Group as Vice President, Local Sales and Marketing. Potter joins the radio giant's interactive initiative after 5 years in station management, most recently as Vice President & General Manager of Clear Channel's WCOL, WTVN and WFII in Columbus, Ohio.

Under his new title, Potter's primary role will be to help increase local Web advertising across the company's wide spread markets. Martin commented that Potter has a unique combination of skills that makes him perfect for the newly created post: "John's background was key to offering him the position. He has a radio career that covers on-air, programming, sales, sales management and general management. Combine that with the systems experience and Internet knowledge he's developed over the years and he's a natural to knock the cover off the ball."

Clear Channel Radio began to consolidate its Internet effort over a year ago as a growing number of stations began developing their own web sites. Continued Martin, "Local web development and implementation is still key to making our websites successful. John's role will be to assist the stations in developing the sales end of the sites - sales systems, training programs and local partnership opportunities."

Dave Crowl, Clear Channel Radio Senior Vice President said, "John brings a powerful set of skills and knowledge in local web marketing and sales issues to the Web Services Group . I know he'll greatly enhance the progress of our interactive business. John's been a terrific General Manager in Columbus and he'll be a tough act to follow. While I hate to see him leave the radio side, I'm pleased he's staying under the Clear Channel banner. "

Added Potter, "I can't think of any other job besides this one that would make me want to leave radio. I have played with on-line computing and computers as a hobby since 1980. This is a chance to combine a passion for radio and cyber-space. Plus I can write-off all the coolest cyber-toys!"

Potter, who will remain in Columbus, begins his new career July 17th.
