CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO NAMES AL KENYON VICE PRESIDENT, TECHNOLOGY

COVINGTON, KY August 2, 1999: Clear Channel Radio Division President Randy
Michaels today named Al Kenyon Vice President, Technology for the company's
growing radio properties.  Kenyon was formerly Vice President, Engineering
for Jacor Communications which was purchased by Clear Channel
Communications, Inc.  earlier this year.

With his new title Kenyon will assume oversight of technical operations
within the Clear Channel Radio division, including computer networks,
digital audio programming, satellite communications, radio towers and
engineering issues.  "I've been in this business for over 35 years and the
technology explosion is unprecedented," commented Kenyon.  "There are so
many advancements in programming, communications, and satellite
distribution that the real challenge is to identify and go with the
winners.  The potential for cost savings and revenue enhancements through
technology are huge, with the right menu of products."

"Al and I go way back," commented Michaels.  "He's one of the smartest guys
I know when it comes to technology and engineering issues.  He also has
some pictures from our college days that have nothing to do with this
promotion."

Kenyon will continue to report directly to Michaels.  His promotion is
effective immediately.
