(Nasdaq: JCOR) today signed an agreement to acquire KZSF-FM of Alameda, CA for $16.5 million from Z-Spanish Radio Network, Inc. KZSF-FM will complete Jacor's 92-Rock Network in the San Francisco Bay area. 92-Rock is anchored in the South Bay region with KSJO-FM (92.3) in San Jose and to the north by KZWC-FM (92.1) Walnut Creek. KZSF-FM (92.7) will cover the heart of San Francisco. Media Venture Partners, acted as a broker in the transaction. The cash transaction is subject to customary regulatory review. Jacor is the nation's third largest radio company measured by total stations. Including announced pending acquisitions, Jacor now owns, operates or represents 205 radio stations in 56 broadcast areas and WKRC-TV in Cincinnati.
