(Nasdaq: JCOR) today exercised its option to purchase the radio assets of Progressive Broadcasting, LLC of Caddo Parish, Louisiana for $24 million. Jacor entered into a definitive agreement with Progressive to purchase KVKI-FM, KRUF-FM, KITT-FM, KEEL-AM and KWKH-AM all in Caddo Parish (Shreveport). The transaction is subject to customary regulatory review. Jacor is the nation's second largest radio company measured by total stations. Including announced pending acquisitions, Jacor now owns, operates or represents 230 radio stations in 65 broadcast areas and WKRC-TV in Cincinnati.
