(Nasdaq: JCOR) today promoted Bob Houghton to the newly formed position of Manager of National Sports Sales. Houghton, who has been General Manager of Atlanta's WGST AM & FM since May of 1992, will work closely with the national sales reps at Eastman Radio and Katz Radio as well as Katz Radio Group (KGR) Sports. Under Houghton's leadership WGST was the flagship of the Atlanta Braves and the Atlanta Hawks. Bob has also been responsible for sports sales of the Minnesota Twins, Minnesota Vikings, Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Blackhawks, as well as several college football and basketball programs. He came to Jacor with five years of experience selling sports in the national arena for CBS Radio. In announcing the new assignment Jacor President & Chief Operating Officer Bobby Lawrence said, "Howdy brings unlimited enthusiasm and creativity to our national sports selling process. His experience in all aspects of sports selling makes him a natural choice for this new position."
