                JACOR PROMOTES PAT MCDONNELL TO GENERAL MANAGER
                                 ATLANTA WGST AM& FM
                         AND THE GEORGIA NEWS NETWORK 

COVINGTON, KY, November 13, 1997: Jacor Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: JCOR)
today promoted twenty year radio veteran Pat "Big Guy" McDonnell to General
Manager of Atlanta's WGST AM & FM and the Georgia News Network.  McDonnell
steps into the GM post with six years of experience in the Atlanta radio
market, most recently as General Sales Manager for Jacor's flagship WPCH-FM and
Director of Sales for WGST AM & FM.  Big Guy-McDonnell has crossed the country
during his twenty years in radio having left his mark in San Diego, Seattle,
Columbus and Scranton before settling in Atlanta.  

Jacor Senior Vice President John Hogan was formerly General Manager of the
Atlanta broadcast area and worked with McDonnell for many years.  Said Hogan,
"Pat earned this promotion through hard work, innovative strategies for
increasing profit, and a passion for the business. I'm excited for the Big Guy
and GST and am confident he'll be enormously successful in his GM duties.  He
deserves the position. He's a great salesman and a good friend.  Best of all,

A former college football standout, McDonnell is a graduate of Villanova
University.  He and his wife, former San Diego television personality Donna
Yamaguchi, reside in Northeast Atlanta with their daughter, Brigid Mary.

Jacor is the nation's third largest radio group measured in terms of total
revenues.  Prior to the recently announced Nationwide Communications
acquisition and including announced pending acquisitions, Jacor owns, operates,
or represents 172 radio stations in 36 U.S. broadcast areas, and WKRC-TV in

Schlessinger Show and creator of comedy clips, jingles and other programming
and research products.  Jacor also owns a satellite distribution service, NSN,
which provides bi-directional communication among multiple networks.  Jacor
plans to pursue growth through continued acquisitions of complementary radio
stations in its existing broadcast locations, and radio groups or individual
stations with significant presence in other attractive locations. 
Additionally, Jacor has plans to grow in other broadcast-related products and
businesses.
