Premiere Radio Networks 212.338.1403 818.377.5300 Gary Schonfeld, President MediaAmerica, Inc. 212.302.1100 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE PREMIERE RADIO NETWORKS & MEDIAAMERICA, INC. TO TRANSITION NATIONAL ADVERTISING SALES EFFORTS FOR RUSH LIMBAUGH & DR. DEAN EDELL Covington, KY, November 17, 1997: Jacor Communications (Nasdaq: JCOR) announced today that Premiere Radio Networks, Inc., a wholly owned Jacor subsidiary, and MediaAmerica, Inc. will begin transitioning the national advertising sales responsibilities for Radio-Active Media, Inc. (formerly EFM Media Management) to Premiere. The change-over will become effective with the January 1998 broadcast inventory. Radio-Active Media, another wholly owned Jacor subsidiary, owns the exclusive rights to America's number one rated talk program, "The Rush Limbaugh Show," as well as "The Dr. Dean Edell Show," "Morning Updates," and "Medical Minutes." The consolidation of its talk radio advertising sales efforts under the Premiere Radio umbrella is a natural evolution for Jacor as it continues to expand its presence in the radio content business. After many years of fine service for these programs on behalf of Radio-Active Media, MediaAmerica, Inc. will no longer be acting as its exclusive national sales representative. However, working in conjunction with Premiere Radio Networks, MediaAmerica, Inc. will develop a select list of new business accounts for the programs. John Axten, President of Radio-Active Media, commented, "I want to thank MediaAmerica, Inc. and their fine staff for all their effort on our behalf over the last six years." Kraig T. Kitchin, Executive Vice President of Premiere Radio Networks, said, "We are very pleased to assume sales responsibility for these top-rated, highly respected shows which have distinguished themselves as "must-haves" with national advertising accounts across America." Gary Schonfeld, President of MediaAmerica, Inc. added: "We have appreciated our six year relationship with Rush, Dean, and EFM, and we look forward to our new role in developing additional business opportunities for their programs." MediaAmerica, Inc. is the exclusive representative of over 70 national radio programs and networks servicing all radio formats. The company is now the largest independent marketer of national radio programs in the U.S. Founded by Ron Hartenbaum and Gary Schonfeld in June 1987, New York based MediaAmerica, Inc. has advertising sales offices in Los Angeles, Chicago, Detroit and Dallas. MediaAmerica, Inc. currently employs approximately 80 professionals in Sales, Research, Affiliate Relations, Programming, Accounting and Media Services departments. Premiere Radio Networks, a wholly owned subsidiary of Jacor Communications, is the fourth largest creator, producer and distributor of innovative comedy, entertainment, music radio programs, research and other services. Los Angeles-based Premiere produces 50 syndicated programs and services to more than 4,000 radio stations pursuant to more than 6,300 contracts with such stations. Premiere distributes these programs and services in exchange for commercial broadcast time. Premiere Radio Networks recently announced the acquisition of Multiverse Networks, LLC, one of the nation's top three independent network radio sales organizations and the exclusive rights to syndicate The Dr. Laura Schlessinger Show from Synergy Broadcasting, Inc. Jacor is the nation's second largest radio group measured in terms of total stations. Prior to the recently announced Nationwide Communications acquisition and including announced pending acquisitions, Jacor owns, operates, or represents 172 radio stations in 36 U.S. broadcast areas, and WKRC-TV in Cincinnati.
