CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO, Covington, KY May 3, 2000: Clear Channel Radio’s five station Pocatello/Idaho Falls cluster has a new General Manager. Radio veteran Tim Murphy is taking the reins from departing GM Mike Hudson, effective immediately. Murphy has been in the Pocatello/Idaho Falls market for over 6 years, most recently as General Sales Manager of the stations in Idaho Falls. Says Murphy, who grew up in radio, "This is a great opportunity with a tremendously talented group of people. Under Mike’s leadership, Pocatello/Idaho Falls has grown into a dynamic radio environment and I’m excited about our future. There is one caveat I need to make to my staff, however. I’m not piercing any more body parts, no matter how much you exceed budget."

Senior Vice President Jay Meyers says he had no trouble making the decision to promote Murphy to the post. According to Meyers, "It’s always wonderful when you can promote from within your own company, and Tim's promotion is especially meaningful since it represents a ‘first,’ to my knowledge, for Clear Channel. We now have a General Manager who sports a nipple ring! Next time you see Tim, ask him why you should never tell a staff you'll do ‘anything they want’ if they exceed their budget by 25%!"

According to Idaho Market Manager Dick Lumenello, "Tim is a natural choice to step in and take over a great operation which has been put together by Mike Hudson. I hate to see Mike leave, but under Tim's direction I'm confident our growth will continue in both the Idaho Falls and Pocatello markets."
