CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO, Covington, KY May 22, 2000: Clear Channel Radio today promoted Cheryl Salomone to General Manager of its five station Yakima, Washington cluster. Salomone had been Market Controller of Clear Channel’s Pacific Northwest Radio Cluster operated out of the Portland, Oregon market for the past three years. According to Senior Vice President Dave Crowl, "During her time in Portland, Cheryl has demonstrated the skills to be a successful General Manager. She has learned a great deal working with our outstanding Portland management team and will put that experience to good use in terms of achieving future growth."

Before joining Clear Channel in 1997, Salomone was Controller for EZ Communications’ three Sacramento, California stations. Salomone started her radio career 17 years ago in Tampa, Florida. Since then she has moved from Business Manager to Controller to General Manager for radio companies on both coasts.

Says Salomone, "I’m excited about moving to Yakima and taking over the GM responsibilities. We have excellent properties there with tremendous potential."
